Terms of Use

Plain-language boundaries for using this browser-based formula translator and its guide library.

Last updated September 3, 2026 · Draft for owner/legal review

This is an informational implementation draft, not legal advice. Please review it with the site owner and qualified counsel before treating it as a binding legal document.

Intended use

Excel Formula Translator is provided as a browser-based utility for translating and reviewing formula text. Use it for lawful, ordinary spreadsheet work, and make sure you have the right to use any formula, workbook reference, or other material that you place in the workspace.

Keep a copy of your work

The translator is designed around a browser-local processing loop. It does not require an account or provide a workbook-upload and save service. Keep your own source workbook and formula copy in a location you control, and do not treat an open browser tab as a durable archive.

Review before publishing

The translator helps identify language and separator changes, but it cannot calculate a workbook, validate cell values, or reproduce every Excel version's behavior. Review important formulas in their destination workbook, especially when they include newer functions, external references, macros, or locale-specific settings.

You remain responsible for checking the accuracy, permissions, accessibility, references, and final behavior of anything you publish or share after using the tool. A translated string is a review aid, not a calculation approval.

External destinations

Guides may include links to external documentation. Opening those links can involve requests to external hosts. External sites and services have their own rules and content; review them before relying on them or sharing information with them.

Changes and questions

The translator, guides, and this informational page may be updated as the implementation changes. If you find a broken link, inaccurate description, or accessibility problem, please use the Contact page. Privacy questions are also covered on the Privacy Policy page.
